God does not plan my destiny however He is my loving Father who gives me power and support. I fashion my own destiny. What about the devil? Does the devil exist?
You have rightly understood about the law of karma and how we design our own life with colours of our deeds (karma) by means of thoughts, words, and actions.
➤ We suppose that you have received this knowledge throught the "Awakening with Brahma Kumaris" series of Sister Shivani. Now your further doubt: Just as God, the spiritual father of all souls exist who does good to us, solves our problems, and free us from sorrow, does a being whom we associate as 'devil' exist?
➤ Your doubt is arrised from an observation that we all sometimes create thoughts or do actions which seems to be inspired by a Devil intentiy, isnt't it?
➥ Answer to this question is a direct and clear NO. There is no separate being such as 'devil' who is sitting somewhere and making us do sins here... and you can tell by your own experience... Do you feel compelled to do anything or do you feel that you are free and you infact chose to act...
➥ Taking you ahead in this understanding, we would first like to clarify the reason WHY souls or say human beings act as if inspired by an evil force. The reason or cause of their sins is their own 'sanskaras'. Now sanskaras are created when an action or karma is repeated many times.
➥ Infact, when a human being does good or great karma, he or she can be called a devi or devta (deity). And the good actions are those which are inspired by our original virtues. i.e:Peace, Purity, Love, Joy, Spiritual Knowledge.
And when the same human being does actions which are derived from impurity, hate, ignorance, greed, etc, the same human being will be called a 'devil', although for a temporary period of time only.
✦Thus as explained➥ it is our actions (Karma) which assigns to us whether we are acting in accordance with our original virtues, or are our actions derived from a negative or weak sanskar? We all have to 'self-check' and 'self-reflect' on this...
Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I understand it well.
Yes I got this knowledge from the Awakening series as well as other Braham Kumaris' programs.
I agree with you that however tempting a choice is I do not feel forced at any point to take it. Till the end I am still
able and free to decide on what to choose. Only when I feel uncomfortable later after the choice I made then I want to blame it on someone that is the devil.
